SUSTAINABILITY

Integrating sustainability into our business strategy

In 2010 we initiated a sustainability strategy process with the aim of ensuring that TFG is responding appropriately to key societal issues. We did so in the context of the following trends that we have been observing:

This strategy process was facilitated by external consultants and driven internally through a task team involving 23 senior managers from across the group.

The task team reported its recommendations to the operating board in February 2011. Phase I of the process concluded with the development of a three-year sustainability roadmap; Phase II will focus on implementation and integration across the group and will run from July to October 2011.

Overall responsibility for integrating sustainability into TFG’s strategy resides with an operating board member.
