"TFG", "we", "us" and "our" refer to The Foschini Group Limited and all of its subsidiaries and brands. "websites" refers to all websites owned and operated by TFG. "app" refers to a mobile application which runs on a mobile phone, tablet, watch or other mobile device.

Who are we?

TFG refers to our holding company, The Foschini Group Limited and its subsidiaries which operate under various retail brands. The information we collect

When you open an account with us, shop at one of our stores, join our Rewards program, enter any of our competitions, you visit website, or download or use one of our apps we will collect the following information from you:

  • Your name, surname, identity/passport number, contact information and residential/postal address;
  • Your age, gender, ethnicity, marital status and language;
  • Your employment, banking and financial information;
  • Any other form of personal information that we may reasonably require to offer or provide any of our services or products to you;
  • Information we collect through cookies and similar technologies - see further below under the headings "Cookies" and "Google Analytics".
What we do with your information

We use your information to:

  • Provide you with our services and products, including assessing whether you qualify for credit;
  • Manage and administer your credit and rewards account, insurance policy, or magazine subscription;
  • Communicate with you if we have any special offers, discounts or competitions for you, or where you have consented to it, provide you with special offers on insurance products or magazine subscriptions;

We employ the use of cookies, which are small text files which asks your web browser for permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic. Cookies allow us to tailor our operations and websites to you, e.g. by estimating our audience size and usage patterns, store information about your preferences and recognise when you return to our website.

Sharing your personal information

We generally do not share your personal information, but in some instances we have service providers that assist us with some of the services or products we provide you with. In these instances we do share your information with them, but we have service level agreements with them to ensure that your information is protected and only used to provide those services and products to you.
